Social Enterprise Alliance / LAP Roundtable Monday

Jul 15, 2011   //   by admin   //   Events, News  //  Comments Off

Los Angeles, California, July 11, 2011 – What exactly does “Social Enterprise” mean? Colin Mangham of Daily Brand Group will be joining Max Gail (LAP) and others including members of the Los Angeles chapter of the Social Enterprise Alliance July 18 from 7pm to 9pm to discuss and create an action plan around the roles of social enterprises and entrepreneurship in the emerging structural transformation of the economic system and its critical transition to sustainability.

So what solutions are coming from collaboration of for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises that will create new mindsets, organizations, and a livable future for coming generations? The agenda will be to “run laps” around the idea and develop an action plan that all attendees can carry out into their respective arenas. While it’s certain to be a freeform conversation, Colin’s anticipated focus will be on social entrepreneurship with respect to educational reform and cleantech innovation as well as humanitarian aid-to-trade initiatives he recently began in the Middle East amid Arab Spring.

The meeting will take place in Malibu, CA, just off the coast highway at Big Rock. If you’re interested in attending please email success@dailybrandgroup.com with Subject “Social Enterprise.”

On the Anniversary of D-Day: This One Goes to 11

Jun 6, 2011   //   by admin   //   News, Press  //  Comments Off

(Couldn’t resist quoting Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap….)

On June 6, 2000, notably the anniversary of D-Day, Colin Mangham and a handful of colleagues formed what was then Centrifuge Partners (pre Daily Brand conception in 2007) headquartered in Newport Beach. Quite a time to launch a business … smack-dab in the middle of the dotcom implosion, eh?

Now a full 11 years later, and having survived and thrived through not only that bubble burst but the recent economic downturn (did you hear?), some restructuring, expansion, contraction, molting, meshing and all the speedbumps that typically face an entrepreneurial venture built for sustainable growth and a triple bottom line, we’re more energized, enthused and effective than ever.

Thank you everyone who has supported our success and given us the opportunity to support yours. If you know us you know our mantra … if it’s worth doing do it daily. Here’s to Daily progress, on a daily basis, to carry us all (team, clients, partners, peers) up and up and up another 10 years and beyond.

DAILY Brands AGE Insurance Trade Show Loop

Apr 18, 2011   //   by admin   //   News, Press  //  Comments Off

We had a good bit of fun working in some of the material for this looping presentation to be displayed in the AGE Insurance booth, which we also designed last year. We’ve talked about AGE Insurance before a few times in the News section as we’ve been working together for a couple of years now. But the gist is that they have developed a new line of niche insurance product protecting seniors in assisted living facilities and communities. They figure if Grandpa thinks that mobility scooter is roadworthy on the freeway, well, maybe just a little bit of insurance is in order….
