Tracy has marketed crude and traded its derivatives extensively, plus developed and implemented hedge/risk programs for the full gamut of the energy sector, including refiners (petroleum feedstocks), producers (crude, natural gas), merchants, utilities, chemical (petrochemical, plastics, PVC, pharmaceuticals, and coatings) and transportation (shipping, airlines, freight, trucking, and automotive). She has also negotiated domestic and international physical oil purchases and financial transactions working for and with utilities, as well as top-tier investment banks, universities, hospitals, global financial and real estate service groups, and multi-national fortune 500 companies. With Daily Brand Ventures, Tracy continues her involvement in joint ventures, marketing, business development, venture capital, private equity, and private and public placement projects seeking financing.
A founding partner in a carbon offset company and a long-standing member of Greenpeace, Tracy is dedicated to green causes and the environmental movement, and is intricately involved in various alternative energy projects, either involving herself within a company helping to grow it organically or helping with business development or fundraising for new ventures. She holds a B.A. in Consumer Finance and a minor in Economics from the University of Missouri, though she proudly hails from Houston. She is an avid traveler, and lived in New York for five years, then Santa Monica for four before making the move back to her roots where she currently resides in Austin, Texas.
Tracy demonstrates an unbridled enthusiasm for challenges, adventures and any opportunities to think creatively outside the box. She has an entrepreneurial mindset that has positioned her as a leader in each industry in which she has been involved. As an accomplished jack-of-all-trades, she played her ‘Trump card’ and was chosen out of a group of 1,000 candidates for The Apprentice by Donald Trump himself live on The Today Show. She is an avid sports fan who loves to not only watch, but also play many different sports. Her competitive and creative nature has helped her excel in her diverse financial services career.

Koan Jeff Baysa, MD [New York] Medical Advisor & Design Curator

Dr. Baysa has lectured at the Whitney Museum and MoMA in New York, the Philips Collection in Washington DC and the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study at George Mason University in Virginia. He is on the boards of The Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School University, as well as the Art Omi International Artist Colony where he was the 2006 critic-in residence and will be the 2011 curator emeritus. In 2007 he received a Ford Foundation grant to conduct a curatorial workshop at the Hanoi University of Culture in Vietnam.
In addition to being an active Associate and collaborator with Daily Brand Group, he also advises 5DAY Missions, the Streaming Museum, Art and Med, and Medical Avatar. Dr. Baysa divides his time between New York and Los Angeles, and segued from an allergy practice in lower Manhattan to clinical research on memory disorders. His curatorial projects bring together creativity, science, and technology in salons organised for medical and science conferences like MMVR and AChemS, and educational exhibitions, including a recent show on neurodiversity at MoMA Ukraine.

Jason is a highly global media executive with a solid track record in formulating and implementing new business and growth strategies and operating businesses across the US, UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. He has deep and wide experience in corporate and business development across major Hollywood Studios, start-up new media companies, independent production companies, broadcasters, non-profit and government entities. He builds relationships at Board and C-levels to deliver results, and brings to Daily Brand a proven track record of joint venture and acquisition deal structuring, negotiation, capital raising, business restructuring and operations/P&L oversight.
Prior to his current role with Virgin Radio International, Jason was stationed in Singapore where he was responsible for the launch and development of Virgin Radio in Asia as well as the restructuring of the company’s radio operations in the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”). While in China he concluded a three-year assignment structuring, negotiating and launching a new joint venture company for Vistage International, the world’s largest CEO membership organization. Additionally, Vistage engaged him to identify opportunities for the organization to launch a radio program and/or channel in the US targeting small- to medium-size business owners and employees. Prior to Vistage, Jason advised FOX Television Studios on the establishment of local television production companies in territories outside of the U.S.
Additional initiatives in China included engagement by Stellar Media, a Chinese content distributor, to assist in the development of a content strategy for multiple content delivery platforms (such as satellite, digital television, telephony and internet) in the PRC. Similarly, in coordination with High View Media, Jason was brought on to co-develop a strategy and business plan for the launch of a video-on-demand (VOD) service for a German telecom company’s broadband customers. Jason has also served in other senior international business development roles for Massive Media Group, Universal Television Group (the television arm of Universal Studios), and Twentieth Century Fox. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from UC Irvine, and an MBA from The University of Chicago.

Mr. Alperin’s litigation practice includes the representation of individuals and corporations in entertainment, intellectual property and complex business litigation matters, including those relating to unfair competition, false and deceptive trade practices, media torts (including misappropriation of name and likeness, defamation and invasion of privacy), securities/consumer fraud class action litigation and a broad range of other corporate and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Alperin has also successfully prosecuted and defended S.L.A.P.P. (strategic lawsuit against public participation) motions, and he has been involved in the representation of both companies and individuals in employment litigation matters.
Mr. Alperin has represented numerous defendants (and has counseled numerous others) in connection with litigation involving the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission and Department of Corporations in securities/business fraud cases. Additionally, Mr. Alperin has handled numerous federal and state court appeals relating to these matters.
Mr. Alperin’s transactional practice focuses on the representation of talent agencies, entertainment production companies, recording artists, as well as advertising, marketing and promotion companies. He handles a large variety of business matters for his clients, including the preparation and negotiation of various entertainment industry agreements and employment agreements. Mr. Alperin also advises and counsels clients in connection with their acquisition and sale of businesses.
